Since 2014, Serana has been manufacturing and supplying high-quality cell culture products for research, diagnostics, and biopharmaceutical applications. Our portfolio includes sera, media, reagents, supplements, and buffer solutions designed to support a wide range of cell culture workflows.
Manufactured in Germany and supplied to customers in more than 50 countries worldwide, Serana products are used wherever reliable cell culture performance is essential. Our solutions support applications ranging from scientific research and diagnostic development to the production of vaccines and therapeutic proteins.

Quality You Can Trust
Quality is at the core of everything we do. Every lot manufactured by Serana is supported by comprehensive production records, full traceability, and a rigorous quality control program.
Our testing protocols include physical and chemical analysis, protein profiling, sterility testing, virology screening, biochemistry, and cell culture performance evaluations. Only lots that meet our quality standards are approved for release.
To support consistency and transparency, detailed Certificates of Analysis are prepared and made available for every lot produced, providing customers with complete documentation of product quality and performance.
Custom Manufacturing & Quality Services
In addition to Serana’s standard quality control program, a range of additional testing and manufacturing options can be provided to meet specific customer requirements.

Environmental Commitment
Energy
At Serana, we recognize the growing importance of protecting the environment and operating our business as sustainably as possible. As part of this commitment, we have installed more than 300 solar panels on the roof of our facility to help offset the energy required for our manufacturing operations, freezers, and office equipment.
This investment not only supports our own energy needs but also enables us to supply surplus electricity back to the grid, powered by the sun.
Waste
Due to product safety requirements, many of our raw materials must be delivered in plastic packaging. We make every effort to recycle as much of this material as possible by separating different waste streams and preparing plastics for transport to an accredited recycling partner.
Styrofoam insulated boxes are also broken down and sent for reprocessing, while cardboard and paper are collected separately in dedicated recycling containers.
In addition, we are working to digitalize our manufacturing and Quality Control documentation processes with the aim of reducing paper use wherever possible. Although regulatory requirements mean that certain production records must still be archived in hard copy, our internal recording, documentation, and information-sharing processes are increasingly managed electronically.
Sustainability
Serana Europe GmbH has been awarded the Gold Medal of Sustainability issued by Ecovadis, placing us in the top 3% of all companies assessed in the same field. Since its founding in 2007, Ecovadis has grown to become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 90,000 rated companies from 150 countries and 190 industry sectors. The assessment includes 21 criteria covering policies, actions, and results across the categories of Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Fair Business Practices, and Sustainable Procurement.
At Serana Sustainability is an essential part of Management and Quality Policy. We are practicing our best to follow and implement possible actions to support the relevant 17 sustainability Goals approved by United Nations defined in 2015 by the International Community for Sustainable Development. We also possess self-commitment to take into consideration the European Environment Agency guidelines to support environmental sustainability.

Managing Director
Jaret brings more than 15 years of industry experience in the manufacture of cell culture products. As Managing Director, he leads the company’s strategic and operational development, drawing on his extensive expertise in manufacturing, project management, and facility development. He has played an important role in supporting Serana’s growth as an international supplier of cell culture products and solutions.

As Commercial Director, Tamara Kambeitz works closely with customers and partners worldwide, helping to expand Serana’s global presence while maintaining a strong focus on service, quality, and long-term relationships.
Dr. Iman Kamranfar
Head of Quality & Product Development
Dr. Iman Kamranfar leads Quality and Product Development at Serana. Drawing on his expertise in research, quality management, and biotechnology product development, he oversees the systems and processes that ensure the quality, safety, and performance of Serana products.
